Why are some words spelled oddly?
Urdu script usually leaves out short vowels (zer, zabar, pesh), so a word the converter doesn't know is guessed from its letters. Common words come from a word list and are spelled the usual way.
Is there one correct Roman Urdu spelling?
No. "bohat", "bahut" and "bht" are all used. This tool picks the most common WhatsApp spellings.
