Remove the background from any photo with AI
Cut out people, products and objects from their background in one click, then download a transparent PNG or put them on a white or coloured background. It's useful for online shop product photos, profile pictures, passport-style photos, thumbnails and posters. The AI model runs inside your browser, so your photo is never uploaded to any server.
How to use it
- Choose a photo and say whether it shows a person or a product/object.
- Press Remove background. The first time, the AI downloads once (about 20–25 MB); after that it's quick.

Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Both the AI model and your photo stay in your browser. That's why the first run needs to download the model.
Which option should I pick?
Person is trained on portraits and selfies and keeps hair edges well. Product or object works for items on a table, shoes, bottles, food and similar photos.
The edges aren't perfect. What can I do?
Try the other option, adjust Edge cleanup, and use photos where the subject stands out from the background. For logos and signatures on white paper, the Transparent PNG Maker gives sharper edges.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, on recent phones. Large photos are reduced to 4000 pixels on the long side to save memory. Older phones may take 10–30 seconds.
