Make barcodes for products, shelves and stock
Create a barcode for a product, price tag, stock item, library book or asset label in seconds. Choose Code 128 for any text or SKU, EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products (the check digit is calculated for you), or Code 39 for older scanners. Download a PNG or a sharp SVG for printing, or make many at once and print an A4 sheet of labels.
Which barcode should I use?
- Code 128: your own shop, warehouse or office codes (letters, numbers, dashes). Works with almost every scanner.
- EAN-13: products sold in supermarkets. Real EAN numbers must be bought from GS1 Pakistan so they are unique worldwide.
- UPC-A: products for the US and Canada.
- Code 39: older systems that only read capital letters and numbers.
Questions
Can I make up my own EAN-13 numbers?
For use inside your own shop, yes. To sell through supermarkets and big retailers, you need official numbers from GS1 Pakistan, otherwise your code may clash with another product.
Will it scan with my phone and shop scanner?
Yes. Print it at 100% size with enough white space on both sides, and keep bars black on a white background for the best results.
What size should I print?
A Code 128 or EAN-13 barcode is usually 3–4 cm wide on a product label. Use the SVG for printing; it stays sharp at any size.
