Record your screen, a window or a single browser tab with sound, for tutorials, online classes, bug reports, presentations and demos. Add your voice from the microphone. There's no watermark, no time limit and nothing to install, and the video is saved straight to your computer, never uploaded.
How to record
- Choose whether to record your voice and the screen's sound.
- Press Start recording and pick a tab, window or your whole screen.
- Press Stop (or "Stop sharing" in the browser bar), watch the video, then download it.
Questions
Does it work on phones?
Phone browsers don't allow websites to record the screen. Use your phone's built-in screen recorder (in the quick settings on Android, or Control Centre on iPhone). On a computer it works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
Why is there no sound from the screen?
Sound can be recorded from a browser tab (tick "Share tab audio") or, on Windows, from the whole screen ("Share system audio"). Recording a single window can't capture its sound.
What format is the video?
MP4 where the browser supports it, otherwise WebM. WebM plays in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and VLC. To share it on WhatsApp, convert it to MP4 with a video app first.
Is there a time limit?
No, but long recordings use your computer's memory. For recordings over an hour, choose "Small file".
