HEIC to JPG converter: how it works
iPhones save photos as HEIC to save space, but many job portals, university forms and Windows PCs reject them. Choose your HEIC photos below and they are converted to JPG on your device, keeping full quality unless you pick a smaller size.
Can I convert many HEIC photos at once?
Yes. Choose them all together; you get one zip file with every JPG.
How do I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?
Settings → Camera → Formats → choose "Most Compatible". New photos are then saved as JPG.
Convert HEIC to JPG and other image formats
iPhone photos are saved as HEIC, which many websites, job portals and Windows PCs can't open. Convert them to JPG here, many at once, and download them in one zip. You can also convert between PNG, JPG and WebP, and make big photos smaller while converting. Photos are converted on your device and never uploaded.
Which format should I choose?
- JPG: for photos you'll upload, email or send on WhatsApp. Small files, opens everywhere.
- PNG: for logos, screenshots and images with a transparent background.
- WebP: for websites; smaller than JPG at the same quality.
Questions
Why won't my iPhone photo upload to a website?
Many sites only accept JPG or PNG. Convert the HEIC photo to JPG here and upload the new file. To stop it happening, on the iPhone go to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.
Is HEIC conversion slow?
HEIC photos take a few seconds each because they're decoded in your browser. The first one also loads the decoder once (about 3 MB).
What happens to transparent areas in JPG?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas become white. Choose PNG or WebP to keep them.
How do I make the file smaller in KB?
Choose a smaller size here, or use the Image Compressor to reach an exact size such as 100 KB.
