Random number generator: how it works
Choose the smallest and largest number and how many you need. Tick "No repeats" for raffle tickets and lotteries. The numbers come from the browser's secure random generator.
How do I pick a random number from 1 to 100?
The range is already 1 to 100: press Generate.
Can I draw raffle tickets?
Yes. Set the range to your ticket numbers, choose how many winners, and keep "No repeats" ticked.
A fair random name picker and number generator
Use it for committee (BC) draws, giveaways, classroom questions, office raffles, cricket teams and choosing who goes first. Every name has exactly the same chance: the pick uses the secure random generator built into your browser, not a simple shuffle.
Questions
Can I use it for a committee draw?
Yes. Paste all members, pick 1 winner each month, and tick "Remove winners" so the same person isn't picked twice. Share a screenshot of the result with the group. To plan the whole committee, use the Committee (BC) Planner.
Is it really random?
It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the same source browsers use for security keys, so no name or number is favoured.
