Visiting card QR code (vCard): how it works
Fill in your details and add the QR code to your visiting card, letterhead or shop board. Scanning it opens "Add contact" with your name, number, email and company already filled in.
Which details should I include?
Name and mobile number at least. Email, company and website are useful extras. Fewer details make a simpler QR code that is easier to scan.
What size should I print it?
At least 2 cm × 2 cm on a visiting card, larger for posters. Download the SVG version for sharp printing.
How to make a QR code
- Choose what the QR should do: open a link, show text, join Wi-Fi, or save a contact.
- Fill in the details and press Create QR code.
- Scan it with your phone camera to test, then download it for printing or sharing.
Questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The information is stored inside the QR code itself, not on a server. It works forever, with no tracking and no subscription.
Can I use my own colours?
Yes, but keep the QR dark on a light background with strong contrast, or phones may fail to scan it. Always test before printing.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The QR is created in your browser. Anyone who scans the printed QR can join your network, so only display it where you want guests to connect.
