Check a CNIC or IBAN before you submit a form
A single wrong digit in a CNIC or IBAN can bounce a salary payment, a refund or a job application. The checker formats the number properly, catches wrong lengths and misplaced dashes, and for IBANs checks the two check digits (they catch almost every typing mistake) and shows which bank the account is with.
Questions
What does the CNIC number tell you?
The first digit shows the region where the card was first issued (for example 3 is Punjab, 4 Sindh), and the last digit is odd for men and even for women.
How do I find my IBAN?
It's in your banking app (account details), on your cheque book or bank statement, or you can ask your branch.
Can this tell me if an IBAN is real?
No. A correct IBAN can still belong to a closed account. It only confirms that the number is written correctly.
